Shoe Care

One of the many advantages of wearing merino wool shoes is that they are fully washable!  See below for machine washing, hand washing, and touch-up instructions.
How to Clean your Merino Shoes in the Washing Machine:
  • Start by wiping down the shoes with a towel to get rid of any loose dirt.
  • Next, remove the insoles and laces from your shoes - you should wash these by hand in the sink for the best results.
  • On the delicate/wool cycle (cold water) put your shoes in the washing machine. We suggest using a linen bag to protect the shoes.
  • Air dry ONLY - do NOT tumble dry as they may shrink.
  • Finally, reinsert the insoles and laces and continue to enjoy your Merino Shoes!

How to Clean your Merino Shoes by Hand:

  • Hand wash in warm water using a soft cloth to clean.
  • Clean any dirty spots with a mild soap solution.
  • Air dry ONLY - do NOT tumble dry as they may shrink.

Additional Notes:

  • We have found that Mr Clean® Magic Erasers work great to remove dirt & scuffs from the soles of the shoes.
  • Do not use bleach or detergent with brightening agents.
  • Do not soak in water for extended periods of time.
  • Wearing in wet conditions may cause odor.
