Founded in 2017, San Diego-based Merinos is on a mission to make the most comfortable shoes on earth made from the finest quality merino wool. We are not a big shoe corporation, but a family-owned and operated business that is centered all around our customers. Our mission is to make shoes that are undeniably the best and most comfortable thing you’ve ever had on your feet.

Materials and Sourcing
Merinos are made from premium authentic Australian merino wool. Our merino wool is a renewable resource and comes from Australian merino sheep. We only source from certified 100% cruelty free, fair-trade farmers. Happy sheep make for happy feet! This is not the traditional wool material you imagine. Merino wool is super soft, lightweight and breathable without any scratchiness or excessive heat. Merino wool is a one-of-a-kind material that is temperature regulating and odor resistant. It will keep your feet cool in warm weather, and warm in cold weather, making them perfect year-round shoes. You can wear Merinos with or without socks and not worry about excessive foot odor. Merino wool is truly an amazing material and one of the features that sets us apart from other shoes.

Fit Info
For Slip-Ons and Lace-Ups: We do not offer half sizes. If you are between sizes, for example if you typically wear an 8.5, we recommend you size up to a 9. If you are true to size, for example if you are a true 8, we recommend you stick with a size 8. We offer wide sizes in most colors. The width is an EE. If you have wide feet, we recommend you try one of our wide sizes. For Flats: We offer half sizes. Please use your true shoe size you typically wear. For Mules: We do not offer half sizes. If you are between sizes, for example if you typically wear an 8.5, we recommend you size down to an 8. This is different than our slip-ons and lace-ups. If you are true to size, for example if you are a true 8, we recommend you stick with a size 8.
Where Our Shoes Are Made
Merinos are made in Vietnam. Our factory is of the highest class and quality. All workers are fairly compensated, not overworked, and have strictly followed worker’s rights. Our CEO and owner often travels to the factory and is very familiar with the owner and many production workers. We take pride in the fact that our shoes come from a stand-up facility that provides good jobs and fair wages.

I have my hands on everything related to Merinos, and often travel to oversee our production ensuring our shoes are always tip top quality. We have a tight knit team, including my son, that cares about our shoes and customers more than anything. This isn’t just some nameless and faceless company. We are truly a family owned and operated business that takes great pride in the product we deliver to our customers.
